You Are The Best!

tisdag 30 juli 2013

Hello friends!
I was inspired to make this card after I got to see the latest issue of Ett Trykk.
And I think it's time for a man's card again here on the blog, so here's one.

"Of course I talk to myself. Sometimes I need expert advice."

I used a minis stamp from Paper Artsy, colored it a bit with Distress Markers before I mounted it into a frame, that I made with one Frameabilities Scalloped Edge Frame.
The frame was cut out from a piece of Authentique paper, then I sponged over the frame with white Gesso before I removed the frame die to get the white dots. After that I added a layer clear rock candy crackle paint.

I adhered it to a vintage tag that I first had run through Tim Holtz Texture Fades embossing folder, and then sponged the surface with a few different distress inks.
I wrote the sentiment on my old typewriter, cut it out and adhered it together with other stuff from my stash.

I used the same papers for the inside. The crown is made with a Red Rubber Design stamp.

I think that´s about all. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great summer!
Hugs, Birgit

I Count You Twice

tisdag 23 juli 2013

Hi everybody!
Hope you have a great time and enjoy the summer.
Today´s card is made with this weeks sketch over at Card Crafter´s Circle.

The idea for this card, I've had a long time now, but for various reasons it has not been done until now.

I used papers from Authentique Paper, the Cherish collection. And tags, that I cut out from a Crate sheet of paper.

I started by stamping the push button background with a Crafty Individuals stamp in Faded Jeans Distress ink. Then I mounted the push buttons, and stitched it on a piece of fabric.

I also used the One the fence die from Tim Holtz Alterations on a piece of blue cardstock, and adhered it under the lace and buttons.
The sentiments was stamped with stamps from Eline´s Winter Huis and Rox Stamps.

I cut out a butterfly and adhered it together with a pin and some flowers.
I think that was about all.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hugs, Birgit

We Remember Moments

torsdag 18 juli 2013

Hello everyone!
It became a bit of paper left after yesterday's altered heart-shaped box for Hobbyhärvans blog.
Oh, it was such a cute kitten on it... that inspired me to make a collage card in slightly different size.

I combined it with a few other vintage images I have saved, and stuff from my stash.

And now I got usage for one of those old buttons I bought a few years ago in a second hand shop, I love them all.

Off now to fix some coffee:) I hope you have a great day!

You´re The Best

fredag 12 juli 2013

Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog!
I just want to show a center step card that I have made for some gentleman around here.

I started with those great "Little bit of-Together" papers from K-designs. I think they are perfect for male cards, so I wanted to use them.
Then I picked up the Phineas Pinchbeck stamp from The Artistic Stamper, but I didn´t like the sentiment on it.
So I covered it, and then replaced it with another text from another stamp.
Then I colored it up a little with a couple of Copic pens, and cut it out.

I used another Watches Background stamp from The Artistic Stamper and cut out pieces to the two sides.
The words  at the bottom was made with Darkroom Door Dashing Gents stamps.
The mini hat stamp was clear heat embossed and cut out before I adhered it with 3-D pads for a dimensional look.
I added glossy accents to the  clock face. A couple of gearwheels, a charm with a paperclip finished of my card.
Thanks for your visit today!
Hugs, Birgit

Love Makes The World A Beautiful Place

tisdag 9 juli 2013

Hello everyone, happy Tuesday!
I hope that your part of the world is having some nice weather!
I bought a new (for me) pair of embossing folders from Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations, and immediately wanted to play with them of course:)

I started out with coloring up the embossing folder with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
Then I laid  a piece of  Hello Summer Echo park paper in the folder and run it through my machine.

I cut out a Vintage image from a Crafty secrets paper and adhered it on a little paper bag,
that i first had stamped with a Inkido Post Card stamp.

In the bag I placed a little tag made with a Magnolia die.
The air balloon from Stampers Anonymous was stamped,
and then heat embossed with clear embossing pouder.
I then added one bottle cap over the ballon.
Then I decorated the rest of the card with stuff from my stash.
Hope you are having a great week!
Hugs, Birgit

Hello all blog friends, happy Friday!
This week there is a challenge at The Shabby Tea Room with a wonderful picture with inspiring flowers I immediately fell for.

The sentiment are made with Red Rubber Designs stamps.
For the newsprint I taped Tim Holtz Tissue Wrap paper on a piece of the patterned paper.

The swirl in the left lower corner were made with a stamp from Vilda Stamps.

Glorious Flowers

tisdag 2 juli 2013

Hi friends!
I want to celebrate summer and all its flowers with this card.
It's a great time but it is just too short here where I live.
I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday, and congratulations to the 300 challenges!

I have used a Sara Kay stamp, then I colored it with my Copics,
little Glossy Accent and Star Dust Stickles.

For this card I used papers from last years Sunshine collection from Inkido.
I also added flowers of course, some pearls, Paper Pen, doily and twine.
Okay...that´s it for today...now I go out in the sun!
Hugs, birgit
