Forest Wildlife

måndag 18 januari 2016

Hello friends!
I´m sharing a card I have created for a man who will soon celebrate his birthday and since he is a hunter, I hope he likes the forest scene on this card.

I have used some old Landstoken papers, stamps and dies for this card such as the Tim Holtz Alterations "Holiday Joy" stamp/die set. The Squirrel was made with a Marianne designs die CR1340 and the cone is stamped with a small stamp from Panduro and then cut out by hand.

The stamped sentiment is from Vilda Stamps. I think squirrels are so beautiful, they seem to be so fluffy and soft. Nothing for hunters to shoot either...just watch.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Birgit

Happy Thursday!
No card today ... instead I have a gift bag with attached tag to show instead.

I started with stamping and color up the image from Art Impression the Fire Out Set with my Copics. Next, I added Stampendous Fran-tage Shabby Blue embossing pouder and Taupe flakes underneath. I also added Glossy Accents to the fire extinguisher, the glasses and the punched out hearts.

I used a sentiment from K-designs that I white heat embossed on red cardstock, the other patterned papers are also from K-designs. This image makes me laugh every time I look at it, I love the lady´s action!
As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Winter Birthday

tisdag 12 januari 2016

Hi everyone!
Happy Tuesday! Well winter has caught up with us here and it'll be really cold the next few days, down to -25*degrees says the meteorologists. So I thought, what is better than a snowman to a guy who will celebrate his birthday next week.

I colored the snowman with my Copics, added some glitter and glossy accents and then cut him out. Next I created a background directly on the card base with an old snowflake stencil and Distress inks.

I adhered the snowman with dimensional foam, and added some 3D snow before I mounted the sentiment that was cut out twice with a Moa Pyssel die.
Okay...that´s about it I think. Have a great day and keep warm!
Hugs, Birgit

Sweet Heart

måndag 11 januari 2016

Hello Crafters!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today I have a OLC card to share made for this weeks Less is More challenge "Fluorish".

To give the card character I started with an embossing folder from Sizzix Scallop Heart Doily Set, and then stamped the sentiment from Autumn Leaves "Love With a Fluorish" set underneath. I thought the card felt a little naked, so I took out the Wendy Vecchi Dots & Stripes Borders stencil and made a border at the bottom with red and black Distress inks. I also added Glossy Accents to the red heart to make it more visible.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Monster Morning

fredag 8 januari 2016

Hello friends!
Happy Friday, and welcome to my blog! I´m back to share a card I created by using the Monster Morning stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs. This is exactly how it feels some mornings... :)

I colored him with Copics and added Glosssy Accents to the eyes. The Mama Elephant sentiment from the Everyday Greetings set was first stamped and then cut out with a Joy Crafts Labels&Tags die.

The background was made with a die cutted paper, used as a stencil and some sponging technique. I finished of by adding some pearls as bubbles from the cup.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
Hugs, Birgit

So glad you´ve stopped by today and I hope that you too want to try this technique, which was very fun to try out.
Have a great day!
Hugs, Birgit

Happy Birthday

söndag 3 januari 2016

Hello and Happy 2016!
This is my first post of the new year and I hope you all had a fun New Year´s Eve. Yet, life has not returned to normal because in our family, we also celebrate a couple of birthdays in addition to the other holidays.

I used the Birthday Baby Boy stamp from Whimsy Stamps and colored it up with my Copics. As a festive addition, I used colorful patterned papers from K-designs called Color Explosion. I attached a frame with foam squares to the image and added some glossy accents and Star Dust stickles for a little sparkle. I die cut the letters to the name out of black cardstock and finished of with a few gems.
As always, thank you so very much for stopping by!
Hugs, Birgit
