Merry Christmas

onsdag 5 november 2014

Hello friends!
I´m back with you today with a new Christmas card I created without any designer paper,  just used distress inks and some stamps.

I really enjoyed making this card and I like the scene ... the embossed star and the sparkling reindeer. This is not the usual Christmas colors, but nevertheless, here is a lovely Christmas spirit.

I´ve used some dies...Tim Holtz Alterations Mini Cabinet Card and Holiday Joy set, Spellbinders Shapeabilities D-Lites Window Three, Memory Box Traditional Stars and Pine Needle Border, sentiment die from Mandys.
The star is covered with Aged Gold embossing pouder from Stampendous and the reindeer got Shabby White together with some Silver Mix.
That´s it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!

A Jar Full Of Candy

lördag 1 november 2014

Hello friends!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. And what is this that I show then? Well, it´s a jar full of candy that I´m going to give to a special person this weekend.

Here where I live you can buy candy and pick up what you want to have in bags or candy jars. I wanted my jar would get a more personal look and it felt right with an autumn theme ... so here it is.

First I painted it with Gesso and a thin layer gold Acrylic paint.

I made the bow from some scrap paper, then I went loose with a bunch of flowers on top.

The firs was cut out with Memory Box frosted Christmas Trio die.

The leaves was made by first cuting them out from Distress inked papers with a couple of different dies. Then crumple them a little bit and give them a thick layer of clear embossing pouder and heat in.

I love the leaves:) I finished of with a piece of washi tape at the bottom and some red pearls to resemble red berries (cranberries maybe).
That´s it for today. Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Birgit
