Hi dear friends!

It's so fun to rediscover things that I almost forgot that I have. As these small 3-D cut sheets that I have had for so many years, but I thought it was so much fun to cut and assemble the little rose, and it gives a very nice dimension to the card I think.

For today´s card I have used the sketch over at The Sweet Stop, and I began to emboss a piece of white cardstock with an embossing folder from Papermania. The edges was sponged with Black Soot Distress Ink.

Two pieces of Echo Park paper were adhered underneath the rose. One sentiment from K-design was stamped, cut and embossed with one Spellbinders Nested Lacey Pennants die. The embossed part was sponged with Distress Ink, and a piece of a Fancy Tags die cut was placed underneath the sentiment.

To finish of my card design, I added Lace, Ribbons, Twine, a Button and some Rhinestones.

Guest Designing For...

Hi all! A few weeks ago I was contacted by Faye from Cupcake Craft Challenge and she wondered if I was interested in being a Guest Designer when Cupcake´s having Birthday Celebrations. And I said YES of course!

I want you to drop by and see what the other Guest Designers have to show you today, for all the ordinary design team has time off this week. It's fun and a little different.

This weeks Birthday Challenge is a Photo Inspiration to be inspired by.

I have a card to share today where I have picked up the colors and the fact that it is still summer, and what tastes best then? Well, refreshing juice and a cupcake in the garden.

I used a digi from Phindy´s Place and colored it with Copic Markers. A few leaves was stamped in black around the edges.  I cut and embossed  a frame with Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares.

For the cupcake I used a stamp from Bildmålarna, cut it out by hand as well as the juice glass.

A sentiment was stamped and cut with one Nested Lacey Pennants. The embossed parts was sponged with distress ink.

The image was adhered over Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics papers and a fabric ribbon from Websters Pages.

And then I must not forget the lovely lace that I got from The Funkie Junkie´s Boutique, which I painted a bit with Copic pens. I also got the butterfly in corrugated cardboard from Linda and I sponged it with distress ink and added Picket Fence crackle paint on it. In the middle I placed a little flower.

Colored in seam binding, twine and a button finished of  this card. That´s all I have for you today, don´t forget to stop by the

Altered Cans

Hello friends!

This is not new, I know. But these cans are so easily made and they look Fabulous! All you do is: save cans, pull off labels, wash, paint and decorate! And, they are so handy for storage! I think you need a new "pen" holder this weekend!

 

  

- I used white Gesso to paint with.

  

 

- This one is made with tulle just wraped around and glued, with a vintage lace, stamped tissue paper and a Tiffany Jewels.

- For this one I cut out one Victorian image, distressed the edges and added together with lace and twine. Three old buttons was also glued.

- For the last one I used a piece of an old blouse that I had. Natur Hamp string was tied round it and a lace was glued at the bottom. Pearl string, button and a metal butterfly finished off and my new storage can is complete.

This is upcycling at its best, you get something usable! Try it!

Today I have another card for young people. And hugs are at least some younger guys really afraid of. So here's a warning! A hug can jump out when you open ...

I am so glad that I have got my sewing machine back which has been in for repair, I've really missed it a lot. Now it goes like never before, imagine what a little oil can achieve:-)

I´ve once again used a digi from Sliekje Digi Stamps  and colored both with Copics and Distress ink to make a stamped scene.

The patterned papers Viktorias garden comes from Echo Park, and the sentiment stamp are from K-design. The other embellishments were found in my stash.

I love the bright and warm colors in this card - hope you like it too.

You're My Best Friend

Hello blog friends!

Today I am showing you a sweet birthday easel card. What a great card for a child!

I found the cute freebie at Sliekje digi stamps. I colored it
with my Copics and used some Echo Park papers. The image was cut and embossed with Spellbinders Label Seven.

I also stamped round the edges with one Pinkpaislee stamp from the Butterfly Garden collection, I used several shades of green and black distress ink.

I stamped a sentiment from You Do, and another round congratulations sentiment from Inkido and cut them out. The edges was sponged with ink.

I also added a small metal heart in a small string around the neck. Some Paper Pen pearls, beads, flowers, punched and die cut leaves, and finally a little bag with (you probably can not see it) a few small pine cones in.

Merry Christmas

Hi there!

Today I am sharing a Christmas card I made after my last attempt with my Dylusions. I tried again and this time the result was better. For sketch inspiration, I played along with the current The Sweet Stop sketch challenge.

I stamped and heat embossed the bird from Inkadinkado, then I used a couple of stencils and sprays from Dylussions to create this card.  I smeared over 3-D snow on the leaf stencil and then I also painted with a little Gesso for them to remain white.

Jovial paper pad from Basic Grey was used, and oneYou Do sentiment stamp, which was cut and embossed with one Nested Lacey Pennants die. White Pearl Maker was added around the text.

I finished of the card with a wreath, a metal charm and and bow made of natural string.

I saw that ABC Christmas Challenge has come to O for Open it up, and I usually do that often and show you, so here you have the inside.
