Invitations

fredag 14 september 2012

Good morning friends! I´m back today to share with you something I don´t do so often.
I was asked if I could make some invitations to a dinner, she who ordered them wanted it to be simple cards.

I thought it might be great with a little brown fall colors this time of year. The flower is made with a Prim Poppy die from Memory Box, and the text is made on my computer.
Thats it for me this week.
Hugs, Birgit

Hi there sweet blogging friends!
***I have two posts today. If you missed my post for Tuesday Throwdown, please click HERE. Thank you.***
So glad you stopped by today:) A few weeks ago I was asked by Angela from Try It On Tuesday if I wanted to be a guest designer for September, and I wanted, of course!
This fortnight theme is an Anything Goes challenge, so welcome with any project you have.

The sponsor for this month are Smudgetastic Digis and the lucky winner will receive 3 free digi´s.

Myself I have done a muffin easel card. I think that the image, which is a free digi from Sliekje Stamps are perfect for this card. Isn´t the mouse cute!
You have a template here for the muffin, but I had to cut it down a bit to get it right.

I used some old papers from Panduro and white corrugated cardboard that I sponged with black distress ink.
After I had colored the image with Copics, I just added Glossy Accents and some pearls. It was cut and embossed with the largest Floral Doily Motifs Shapeabilities die.
At the bottom of my card I added Venice Lace trim from The Funkie Junkie´s Boutique, I love it.
And finally, best of all, a small tag with a muffin recipe.

I hope you have time to create a card, or something else for the challenge! And check out my challenge members gorgeous creations at Try It On Tuesday.
Hugs, Birgit

Welcome to my second week as Guest Designer for Tuesday Throwdown. This week they wants us to Use Gems.

Sponsor to this weeks challenge is My Heart Pieces, and the lucky winner will receive 3 images of their choice.

For today´s project I chose to focus on the colors as we head towards the fall and I wanted to use some warm colors to my image from My Heart Pieces.
After coloring I cut and embossed with one Label Eight Nestabilities die, it was stitched to a slightly bigger piece of grey cardstock.
I added blue Gems, Stickles, Glossy Accents and Paper Pen dots.

Kaiser Craft patterned papers from the Sweet Nothing Collection was used. I made three blossoms using a Memory Box Small Pinwheel Posie die and added a pearl in the center.

Parts of green prisma leaves, some old white tulle hearts and paper ribbons was added.
The sentiment was cut out from a piece of Prima paper. I added a metal corner on top and finished of with a few more gems at the bottom. That´s about it I think.

You Are An Angel

lördag 8 september 2012

Hello everyone and welcome back!
I decided to make a tag this time for my Inkido post.

I started by stamping a text on the upper part of a tag and then sponged the edges.
Then I chose one of those lovely vintage images from Papercraftscandinavia and stitched it onto a piece of embroidered linen. I colored in a piece of lace with pink distress ink. and added it to the bottom of my tag.

A sentiment was stamped and heat embossed. After I had cut it out and sponged the edges it was adhered together with pearls.

For the metal corner I used white embossing powder and heated in. I also added Pins, Pearl straw, Ribbon and a Flower with Stickles on.
Hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks for looking!
Hugs, Birgit

Untraditional Christmas Colors

torsdag 6 september 2012

Hello dear friends!
Yes, this Christmas card has a bit odd colors, but this time of year when there is still a long way to Christmas, I like to do these kinds of cards. Later, when we approach Christmas, Christmas cards also tend to become super duper traditional and full of glitter.
To get some Christmas spirit over this card, I added just a bit of glitter, and then it's Christmas like at once. Or what do you think ... no glitter, no Christmas?

I started with the resist canvas and sprayed it with a couple of blue sprays that I had.
The angels I have cut out from a Crafty Individuals paper sheet , and over them I added some Tim Holtz chitchat words.

I found the little baby jesus on a piece of paper from Melissa Frances, and the other papers are from Prima's Almanac Collection. The embellishments were found in my stash.

I forgot to mention that I've been playing around with the sketch at Sketchy Colors this time.
Thank you for passing by, have a great day!
Hugs, Birgit

Hello there!
Today I have exciting news to share with you ... For the next month, I will be Guest Designing for Tuesday Throwdown! I´m so glad for this opportunity, thank you Davi.
I hope you'll join in this week's challenge that is about Back To Books, and you can win 5 digital stamps from Robyn's Fetish.

I made this Circular Side Step Card, I love this image from Robyn´s Fetish.

The image was first colored with Copics, then I masked it and placed a stencil with mini numbers from The Crafters Workshop over. Then i added some old silvery glitter glue over the stencil.

Some ABC letters was added on the book front, then I cut and embossed the image with Spellbinders. Two red pearls was added to the hairband, and some platinum stickles on the book.
I used papers from October Afternoon. Sentiments from StampingScrapping was stamped and cut to a little tag, and to a book with Spellbinders Labels Seven.

I colored in seam binding and tied a bow together with a button. A rhinestone swirl, white and green cut out leaves and two small stickers finished off.

From Me To You

fredag 31 augusti 2012

Hi there dear blogging friends!
I hope you all have a nice weekend ahead of you!
Earlier this week I saw that K-Design is looking for a design team and since I'm a big fan of their stamps and have used them quite a lot recently, comes here another card with their stamps.

I love this image from Slöjd Detaljer and decided to combine it with a piece of linen that I painted with white clackle paint, and some Tim Holtz tissue paper that I crumpled up and then sponged with distress ink.

But first I starten with the background paper from Ocober Afternoon that I covered with a doily template from Crafters Workshop and then sponged with my watermark stamp pad, then I added clear embossing pouder and heated in. After that I sponged over it with worn lipstick distress ink.

A piece of lace was added under the image. Green colored in seam binding was tied to a bow and added together with a metal charm in the right corner, over it I placed a butterfly.
Some flowers, rhinestones and swirls that i cut and embossed with a Spellbinders die finished of this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hugs, Birgit
